Hey there - young artist!

So you want to use your awesome pixel art skills and create a skin for MINDNIGHT. Well, we have some good news - you can propose a concept, we can approve it and then if you create the necessary assets, we will even implement it in the game and credit you accordingly while giving you appropriate rewards. We are very open to suggestions and we already had over 600 skin proposals on MINDNIGHT’s Discord Server and we have implemented over two dozen in the game.

In this guide you will find everything you need to know about the skin creation process for MINDNIGHT.

Must-Know

Before you start thinking about creating a skin you should take into consideration the following things:

• As much as we want, we cannot guarantee that your proposal will end up in the game. We take into consideration a lot of things, from possible copyright issues, how your concept would fit into the game’s theme to how your concept is conveying the technical requirements of MINDNIGHT’s skins.
• Avoid creating skins that might trigger any copyright issues - we will most likely disapprove such concepts.
• Avoid creating skins that represent political, religious or controversial figures.
• Try to get accustomed to the game’s lore, world and the backstory for all skins before deciding what concept you would like to approach.
• Once you work on a concept, you might need to tweak it a few times until approved.
• Try to respect the technical requirements specified in this guide, if you want to have high chances of approval
• If you do get approved, you will be responsible to create the animations for the skin.
• You should have basic skills in pixel art and have a good understanding on how sprite animations work in pixel art.
